Legal Basis is given to the Bureau of Animal Industry to regulate this commodity via R.A. No. 10068 (Organic Agriculture Act of 2010).

Documentary Requirements Procedure Lead Time Processing Fee
  • Letter of Intent addressed to BAFS Director.
  • Duly Accomplished Application Form.
  • Bill of Lading.
  • Copy of Invoice.
  • Packing List.
  • Certificate of Origin.
  • Quarantine Certificate (from the country of origin).
  • Organic Certification (from the country of origin) together with a recognition certificate from a DA-BAFS accredited OCB.
  • Photocopy of LTO issued by BAFS (NOT required for new applicants).
  1. 1. Applicant submission of requirements to BAFS
  2. 2. Assessment and evaluation by BAFS
  3. 3. BAFS Feedback (compliance or non-compliance)
  4. 4. BAFS issuance of Permit
3 days after acceptance of application. No Fees as of the moment (However, BAFS is currently drafting a Department Circular which will cover corresponding fees per type of issuance related to organic inputs registration.)
